Authentic Nido mola tote made by Cooperativa el Nido tailors featuring Panama indigenous Guna mola art pieces featured along a Ngäbe pinta patch. Molas are layers of fabric applique pieces made ceremonially by the Guna indians of San Blas Islands, Panama. They are beautifully designed and cut geometric shapes that are stitched together by hand with minute stitchery unseen to the eye. They arrange the shapes into symbols of the kuna's multiversal cosmology in striking vibrant color combos.
Nido has worked towards inclusion of the Ngäbe tradition in wearable art.
